Quer Group Spot UV Business Cards look absolutely stunning and are printed full colour onto deluxe quality 400gsm extra thick silk card. This Ultra Violet varnish produces a striking type of coating on both sides of the card and will cleverly highlight specific design features on it. In addition, we add a matt laminate to both sides to provide a smooth finish and improve the durability of your business card.
Our print quality is superb and we can turnaround these Spot UV Business Cards within 96 hours of receiving your print ready artwork. They are perfect for when you’d like to incorporate any photos or images into the design of your business card.
We can print to one or both sides of your business card for the same price! All cards are trimmed to 85 x 55 mm (standard credit card size) unless specified otherwise.
Please Note: Spot UV may change the colour of the area to which it is applied. We will send you a PDF proof that requires your approval by e-mail before it will be printed. Delay to the sign-off may effect the stated delivery date. If two sides are selected, your artwork should contain a design for both sides. Also, please provide crop marks around the artwork.
Is lamination waterproof?
Lamination is a film that does not seal the edges of the sheets - therefore leaving them open to absorb water. No lamination is waterproof. The option for waterproofing would be encapsulation.
What is the difference between laminating and encapsulation?
Lamination is film applied to the stock after printing for extra durability, increasing the stock by 27microns. Encapsulation is a plastic film applied with an overhang to the finished product that encases the print inside - this can be applied in a few different thicknesses.
Is Spot UV the same as StarMarque?
Yes they are. Some suppliers call Spot UV business cards StarMarque. But they are the same thing.
Does Spot UV glow in the dark?
Unfortunalty not, the UV part of the name comes from the UV lights that are used to dry the varnish. However we can provide Glow in the dark varnish but it is not avalible on the website as it is a bespoke item, if this is what you are after please email print@quer.co.uk and we will give you a quote.
